Available now for the first time, Radar Scattering Statistics Software and User's Manual provides computer access to the text's database of statistical distribution tables and histograms. Packed with 4 times more data than the text, the Radar Scattering Statistics Software provides detailed histograms and extensive subcategories. You can easily access the ASCII formatted files, which are arranged in convenient tab separated columns, with any common database management, spread sheet, and graphics package. Four handy files make the database especially easy to use. The Introductory Print File describes the database's form and function and shows you the formatting for each data file. The Parameter Loading Tables give you tabular listings of the backscatter coefficient for each terrain subclassification, at each frequency, and for each linear polarization. The Statistical Distrbitubion Tables present first order statistics of the distribution of the backscatter coefficient at each angle, for all target conditions, and at each frequency and polarization listed in the parameter loading file. The Histograms File summarizes all of the source data quantized at 0.5dB increments of the backscatter coefficient from 0 to 70 degrees relative to nadir, with a separate file for each target category. Complete statistical distributions are provided for by subcategories within each of these major terrain categories: soil and rock surfaces, trees, grass, shrubs, short vegatation, road surfaces, urban areas, dry snow, and wet snow.
