is Professor Emeritus at Chiba University, Japan and also serves as the president of the IEEE AP-S society and a councilor to the Asian Society of Hyperthermic Oncology (ASHO). He holds a D.Eng. in electrical engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
