Rifat Latifi is a professor of clinical surgery, director of surgical critical care, and director of telemedicine at the University of Arizona, Health Sciences Center. He earned his M.D. at the University of Prishtina in Kosovo. He is a well-published author of peer-reviewed journal articles and is a coauthor and editor of several notable books in the field.
