Description
This cutting-edge volume is a print version of leading expert Gunnar Heine's presentation on the optimization and trouble-shooting of GPRS networks. Starting with a comprehensive and detailed examination of the capabilities of GPRS technology, this practical resource outlines the different means and options for determining the performance and quality of a GPRS network and explains how to reproduce these results in your network to improve efficiency and solve network problems. You find an in-depth explanation of how to fine-tune the different components of a GPRS network to achieve the maximum performance for a wide range of applications. You learn how to nail down performance bottlenecks in the different parts of your network. Moreover, the presentation includes a detailed analysis of the typical errors and failures of GPRS networks, discriminating mobile station issues from network problems.
