Frequently Asked Questions

How can I change my billing currency?
Artech House charges North American, South American, and Australian customers in U.S. dollars and all other customers in British Pounds Sterling. If the currency displayed on the website is not accurate for your location, you may change it by selecting your geographic location in the page heading by clicking on the U.S.A or U.K. flag icon.

Where will my books ship from?
Customers in North America, South America, and Australia will have their titles shipped from our United States warehouse, while customers from the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East will have their titles shipped from our UK warehouse.

How can I find the items I want? You can search by using the "Search" box in the top right of the page heading

How do I get all the information I need about an item?
Simply click on the book or software title and find relevant information, including:

• Essential title information, such as price and a picture of the item
• Product reviews from industry experts
• Related titles
• Pre-publication discounts
• Sample chapters
• Description of the author
• Table of contents

Ordering Information

We have made every effort to ensure that buying an item from our website is as simple as possible.

You can search the website for information by either using the “Search" button or by browsing through our subjects, using the listing located on the left hand side of the Artech House home page. When the item you have selected appears on screen, you will be asked to select a location to obtain the price. After choosing your location, an “Add to Cart” button will appear on screen, allowing you to add the item to your shopping cart. Shipping costs will be automatically figured for you according to your location.

You may continue to shop by adding desired products to your shopping cart or conveniently checkout by clicking the “My Cart” located in the navigation bar at the top of the screen. The checkout page will show you the contents of your shopping cart and give you the option of either removing the item you have placed in the cart or editing the quantity. You can also enter a "Promotion Code" if applicable and choose your shipping information.

At the bottom of the screen you are prompted to login in. You will either register for the first time, or returning customers can simply enter in their email address and password. New customers will then be asked for their billing and shipping details. This information will appear for returning customers. If you are ready to finalize the buying process and leave our website, just select "Checkout." You will not be charged for any items until you proceed all the way through checkout.

Privacy Policy

When you order, we need to know your name, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card number, and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your order.

When you place orders, we use a secure server. The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.

"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information, but we do require them to be enabled in order for you to successfully navigate the site.
