Christophe Caucheteur

has received his master's degree in electrical engineering from the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons (Belgium) in 2003. In 2007, he was awarded the PhD degree in Applied Sciences from the same institution. He is now Senior Research Associate of the F.R.S.-FNRS and head of the Advanced Photonic Sensors Unit and has a background in photonics. At the time of writing, he gathers close to 20-year expertise in optical fiber sensing, mainly based on the fiber Bragg grating technology. He co-founded the spin-off company B-SENS in 2016. B-SENS develops and sells smart sensing solutions based on the fiber Bragg grating technology.
