Leonard Tripp is a Technical Fellow in software engineering at the Boeing Company and is responsible for the avionics software standards at Boeing Commercial Airplane. He currently chairs the IEEE Software Engineering Standards Committee and the United States Technical Advisory Group to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC7, Software Engineering. Mr. Tripp is the 1999 President of the IEEE Computer Society. The author of two books and over forty technical papers, he obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from Brigham Young University.
