Nicholas Abi-Samra

is an expert in power systems planning, operations and maintenance. He held senior leadership positions at Westinghouse, EPRI and DNV GL. He was a Fellow and a Senior Technical Executive, at Westinghouse and EPRI, respectively. He studied at the American University, University of Missouri and Carnegie-Mellon University. He is an adjunct professor at the University of California San Diego, and the president of the Electric Power & Energy Consulting. Abi-Samra served as the General Chair and Technical Program Coordinator for the 2012 IEEE PES General Meeting. He is the author over 100 publications, has 2 patents, and holds several prestigious industry awards.
