Rajendra Acharya U is a visiting faculty member at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, and served as assistant professor of Biomedical Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology, India in 2001. He has published more than 66 papers in refereed international journals (42); international conference proceedings (24), textbook chapters (12) over the last years. Recently, he has edited a book on Advances in Cardiac Signal Processingù by Springer-Verlag (in 2007). His area of interest are in biomedical signal processing, bio-imaging, and data mining, and is a reviewer for more than 15 international journals. He has worked as a Technical Consultant for firms including Larsen & Tourbo and Honeywell, and served as a Scientific Chair for the 3rd and 4th Biomedical Society Singapore Meeting, Singapore. He received his Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India.
